When a roof appears to sag
A visible dip is a reason to inspect — not a do-it-yourself diagnosis.
What a sag can mean
A dip in the middle of a plane can relate to deck, framing, moisture, long-term load or simply how the house was built. From the street you cannot tell which.
Do not walk it
A roof that looks uneven is not a place to set a ladder yourself. Interior clues — a bowed ceiling, new cracks, or attic wetting — should be mentioned when you request an inspection.
