Shingles on the lawn, a bare spot on a slope, a ridge that looks uneven, or a drip that started after a wind event. Creases can stay in place and still open later.
Edges matter
Wind often starts at eaves, rakes and ridges. A few missing pieces can expose underlayment and fasteners along a whole course.
What to do
Stay off a damaged roof. Note what you can see from a safe place. Request a storm inspection. Temporary protection may be discussed when an opening cannot wait.
